Sanaa: Since the beginning of Ramadan, the Office of Economy, Industry and Investment in Capital Secretariat has been conducting a field campaign to control prices, commercial, and industrial establishments in various districts of the capital. During the first week of Ramadan, 198 commercial violations were seized, and nine violations were referred to the Public Prosecution, the director of the office, Majid Al-Sada, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba).
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Sada highlighted that over the past two months, the office has destroyed about 200 tons of expired foodstuffs. He emphasized that the field teams from the office and its branches in the directorates of the Secretariat will continue to monitor and control supply violations in markets and commercial establishments during the Holy Month and the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Al-Sada urged all owners of commercial establishments to comply with the prices and instructions issued by the Internal Trade Sector. He affirmed that the office will not hesitate to take legal measures against violators.
