Sana’a: Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Ali al-Yafei held separate meetings on Monday with tourism sector officials Yahya al-Sharif in the capital Sana’a and Ali Kazman in Jawf province. These discussions were centered around addressing the challenges faced by the tourism sector in these regions, exploring avenues for revenue development, implementing quality systems in tourism services, and cataloging tourism facilities.
According to Yemen News Agency, Minister al-Yafei emphasized the ministry’s commitment to enhancing the tourism industry across all governorates. He highlighted the potential of tourism to generate income and create job opportunities, particularly in Sana’a and Jawf, which boast diverse tourism components and patterns. The Minister called for collaborative efforts among all stakeholders to propel the tourism sector forward.
Dr. al-Yafei also pointed out the significant losses the tourism sector has suffered due to the ongoing siege and aggression. He underscored the importance of overcoming these challenges, given the sector’s potential to contribute to economic development.
