Taiz: Director General of Traffic Police Major General Dr. Bakil al-Barashi recently inspected the Taiz Traffic Police forces and inaugurated a significant modernization project valued at 38 million YER. This initiative, implemented through self-support, aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the Taiz Traffic Police, especially during the Eid al-Adha period.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. al-Barashi, accompanied by Colonel Yahya al-Maswari, Colonel Mohammed Atef, and Brigadier General Fatik al-Shamsi, conveyed Eid greetings from the Ministry of Interior's leadership. He encouraged the officers to increase their efforts to improve performance and deliver traffic services throughout the governorate.
Brigadier General al-Shamsi detailed that the modernization project includes two new buildings for administrative offices, precautionary detention, and a specialized training headquarters. Major General al-Barashi emphasized the commitment to enhancing administrative and field performance while providing community services on the roads.
During his visit, al-Barashi assessed the services at Qasr al-Shaab roundabout in al-Hawban, highlighting the cooperation between the traffic police and local security, emergency, and military police in managing traffic flow. He commended the advancements in Taiz Traffic Police's operations, including their modernization efforts and strategic traffic deployment.
The Director General reiterated the General Directorate's support by supplying a traffic crane, a patrol car, and several motorcycles, in addition to assisting with the furnishing of the new buildings. Brigadier General al-Shamsi expressed appreciation for the visit, noting its positive impact on the morale and service provision of the traffic police.
