Dhamar: A training course aimed at equipping agricultural guides with advanced methodologies in agricultural work has commenced in Dhamar Governorate. This initiative focuses on development work methodologies and agricultural guidance, emphasizing value chains and the added value of agricultural crops and livestock products.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Adel Omar, the Director of the Agriculture Sector, stressed the importance of the course for advisors. He highlighted that the training would introduce modern techniques for providing agricultural extension services. This, in turn, is expected to contribute significantly to achieving an agricultural revolution that enhances production with high quality.
The course underscores the role of agricultural extension in sustainable development and emphasizes the advisors’ responsibility in fostering proper developmental thinking within the community. Participants will gain insights into various aspects such as value chains, added value for agricultural products, and the establishment of field schools. Additionally, the training covers essential topics including fertilization methods, pest and disease management affecting tomato plants, and cereal and legume crop production.
