Sanaa: A supplementary training course on first aid and sports injuries was launched in Sanaa, organized by the Sports Medicine Federation and funded by the Youth, Sports and Young People Welfare Fund and the Public Telecommunications Corporation.
According to Yemen News Agency, the four-day course aims to equip 46 health assistants from accredited public sports federations with both theoretical and practical knowledge in first aid, sports injuries, physical therapy, and the proper management of sports injuries and concussions.
At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for the Sports Sector, Ali Hadban, praised the initiative, highlighting its role in preparing health personnel and boosting their readiness to handle injuries effectively. He emphasized that acquiring first-aid skills is not only essential for sports but also a crucial humanitarian task that can save lives in everyday situations.
Ali Hadban further stressed the importance of applying the acquired skills practically within the sports sector. He affirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting and organizing similar workshops and training courses across various provinces, thus expanding access to sports medicine programs and facilitating the training of specialized personnel.
