Aden: A training course on the Integrated Development Work Model began on Tuesday for the technical staff of the Planning Sector at the Capital Secretariat and project managers in the districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the three-day course, organized by the Planning Sector and the General Administration for Development Research and Training, aims to equip 25 participants with the concepts of development work as a comprehensive model focused on sustainable development. It will also enable them to apply these new concepts in their daily work and provide them with successful field examples, training, and essential skills.
The course covers introducing participants to the principles, policies, and mechanisms of development work, national priorities, methods for activating cooperative associations, clarifying the role of local authorities in leading the development process, and strengthening the relationship between local authorities and associations.
The objectives of the course also emphasize promoting a culture of sustainable development, correcting misconceptions about development, sustainability, and familiarizing participants with the concept of the value chain and its importance in the development process, as outlined in the guide 'Reviving the Community Amid Blockade and Aggression' prepared by the governmental-community development team.
