Sana'a: A training program on tenders and bids began on Monday in the capital Sana'a, organized by the Training Center of the Yemeni Standards, Metrology, and Quality Control Authority. The two-week initiative targets 28 trainees from the financial and administrative departments of the authority, focusing on enhancing their understanding of general requirements related to tenders and bids.
According to Yemen News Agency, Executive Director of the Authority Abdullah al-Atifi explained that the program is part of the 2025 training plan. It aims to improve participants' skills in systematically planning tender procedures and determining procurement needs in line with available financial allocations. Al-Atifi noted that the program also aims to develop the abilities of the participants to accurately prepare tender documents and technical specifications, and to evaluate bids both technically and financially according to scientific and legal standards.
Furthermore, Al-Atifi emphasized that the program offers an opportunity to strengthen supervision and control mechanisms, aiming to reduce delays that could hinder the authority's work processes.
