Sana'a: A training workshop on first aid and epidemic disease control commenced today for staff at detention centers in the Capital Security Directorate. Under the slogan "Behind Bars, There's a Human Being," the workshop is organized by the Department of Preventive and Therapeutic Medicine at the Ministry of Interior and the Field Epidemiology Training Program at the Ministry of Health and Environment.
According to Yemen News Agency, the three-week workshop aims to equip 32 detention center staff members with knowledge about the most common diseases they may encounter among detainees in police stations or correctional facilities. He emphasized the importance of understanding patient management within detention centers and highlighted that not all patients require isolation.
