Sana’a: The Sana’a Cleanliness and Improvement Fund today launched the afforestation works of the median strip of Street 24, the entrance to the Saawan area in Bani Hushaysh District. At the launch, the governorate’s deputies, Mohammed Al-Habari and Manea Al-Aghrabi, praised the efforts of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the governorate’s streets through improvement works and afforestation of the median strips, as well as continuing the cleaning works.
According to Yemen News Agency, the governorate’s deputies emphasized the importance of preserving trees and ensuring they receive adequate irrigation and care throughout the year, with a particular focus on fruit trees. The Executive Director of the Fund, Engineer Sami Al-Turabi, elaborated that 351 fruit trees will be planted, including varieties such as “loquat, Cadillac, and figs.” He further indicated that this afforestation effort will extend to other rehabilitated streets and will include the completion of tiling and curbing works.
Engineer Sami Al-Turabi expressed gratitude for the support of the governorate’s leadership and their commitment to enhancing the appearance of the streets. He also acknowledged the efforts to overcome challenges faced by the Fund in fulfilling its role effectively.
