Al-sawadiyah: A tribal mediation successfully resolved a manslaughter case between cousins from the Al-Taher tribe in Al-Sawadiyah District, Al-Bayda Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the reconciliation ceremony, which included sheikhs from the Al-Taher, Al-Awadh, Al-Sawad, and Al-Sada tribes, the family of the victim, Nafeh Mohammed Abdulqader Al-Tahiri, announced their pardon of the perpetrator, Bishar Saleh Ali Salah Al-Tahiri. This gesture was made for the sake of God Almighty and in honor of those present, showcasing the deep-rooted traditions of the ancient Yemeni tribe and their ability to transcend pain.
Sheikh Hussein Al-Tahiri praised the victim's family for pardoning the perpetrator, noting it as a reflection of Yemeni society's authenticity and their commitment to strengthening peace and solidarity among community members. He affirmed that resolving this case reinforces the values of tolerance, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
Meanwhile, the guarantee sheikh of the Al-Awadh tribes, Sheikh Al-Awadhi, encouraged all tribes to follow the example set by the family of Nafeh Al-Tahiri. He regarded their initiative to relinquish the case and rise above pain as an embodiment of awareness and a commitment to unifying ranks.
Sheikh Ali Al-Tahiri, speaking on behalf of the victim's family, emphasized that pardoning the perpetrator aims to strengthen reconciliation and tolerance, reinforce the social fabric, and embody the values of chivalry that leave no room for grudges and resentments.
