Taiz: A tribal reconciliation in Taiz governorate has brought an end to a long-running murder case between families from al-Mahamida, al-Alwani, and Abadi clans in the al-Hayma al-Ulya area of al-Taezeyah district.
According to Yemen News Agency, the settlement, which had lasted more than 15 years and resulted in 18 deaths along with significant social repercussions, was concluded through a wide tribal and official mediation effort.
During the reconciliation ceremony, led by senior officials and tribal mediators, the families of the victims announced a comprehensive pardon for all parties involved, seeking to close the case for the sake of social peace and unity.
Participants praised the agreement as a milestone in restoring social cohesion, stressing the importance of resolving disputes through reconciliation and traditional mediation mechanisms.
Officials and community leaders called for strengthening internal unity, ending cycles of revenge, and promoting stability as a foundation for social harmony and development.
