Sana'a: A tribal mediation successfully resolved a murder case on Monday between the Al Amer family from the Al-Sawad tribes in Sanhan District, Sana'a Governorate, and the Al-Qablani family from the Ba'adan tribes in Ibb Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the reconciliation, attended by Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council Dhaifullah Rassam and led by a mediation committee comprising sheikhs Jubran Al-Qadeemi, Hameed Najad, Abduljaleel Al-Dhubyani, Hameed Rattas, and Ahmed Al-Hashishi, the family of the victim, Rashid Mohammed Al-Qablani, announced a full pardon for the offender, Barq Fahd Ali Amer, for the sake of Allah and in honor of those present.
The Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council praised the stance of the victim's family from Al-Qablani in granting pardon to the offender from Al Amer, noting that it reflects the authentic values of Yemeni society based on tolerance and reconciliation, and embodies the responsibility of Yemeni tribes in overcoming disputes and prioritizing the public interest.
He pointed out that resolving vendetta cases strengthens social peace, stressing the importance of unified community and official efforts to address disputes, preserve security, stability, and public tranquility. He affirmed that resolving such conflicts reflects societal awareness and a commitment to ending cycles of revenge.
Rassam also commended the efforts of the mediation committee and all those who contributed to bringing the parties together and achieving this honorable tribal reconciliation.
For their part, the mediation committee praised the victim's family for their initiative in granting pardon and closing the case, emphasizing the importance of healing wounds, uniting ranks, and responding to calls from the revolutionary and political leadership to resolve community disputes, prioritize national interest, and preserve social cohesion.
They affirmed that resolving such issues through brotherly means is part of broader efforts to settle disputes and vendettas, strengthen unity and social cohesion, and reflects national awareness in confronting attempts by adversaries to incite discord and conflict in an effort to weaken the internal front.
Meanwhile, the victim's family confirmed that this reconciliation comes within the framework of promoting a culture of tolerance, brotherhood, and rising above grievances, in line with the directives of the revolutionary leadership to resolve disputes and end vendetta cases.
