Two Events in Ibb Mark Annual Martyrs’ Commemoration

Sana'a: The offices of the Yemen Oil Company, Tourism and Tribal Affairs, Social Affairs and Labor, and the National Institute of Administrative Sciences in Ibb Governorate organized a commemorative event on the annual Martyrs' Day under the slogan 'Martyrdom: Sacrifice and Loyalty.'

According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, the Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the governorate, Nabil Al-Murtada, highlighted that the Martyrs' Day embodies pride and admiration for the sacrifices of martyrs and their steadfastness in facing oppression, aggression, and global arrogance. He explained that the commemoration derives its significance from the greatness of the martyrs' sacrifices, who watered the tree of freedom with their pure blood, leaving a lasting testament to the righteousness of their cause.

Al-Murtada described the event as an opportunity to draw lessons of courage, devotion, and selflessness from the heroism of the martyrs, who gave their lives for God, the defense of religion, the homeland, and human dignity. He called on everyone to care for and honor the families of martyrs in recognition of their loved ones' sacrifices for the nation and national sovereignty.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director of the Yemen Oil Company branch in the governorate, Majd Abu Dheibah, emphasized that Yemen's steadfast stance-by its leadership, army, and people-toward Palestine and Lebanon is a direct outcome of the great sacrifices of its martyrs. He spoke of the martyrs' exalted status in this life and the hereafter, given their dedication to God and their defense of the homeland.

The event was attended by Abdulkarim Ghalab, Director of the Tribal Affairs Authority branch, Abdullah Al-Shabibi of the National Institute of Administrative Sciences, deputy directors, sector officials from Tourism, Social Affairs, Tribal Affairs, as well as employees and staff of the organizing bodies.

In addition, a commemorative event for the 1447 AH Martyrs' Day was held at the Central Correctional Facility in Ibb Governorate. Speakers at the event, attended by the Director of the Correctional Facility, Brigadier General Anwar Al-Mutawakkil, emphasized the importance of honoring Martyrs' Day to remind people of the martyrs' status and heroic deeds, who gave their lives for God, the defense of land, honor, and sovereignty.

The speeches highlighted the martyrs' jihadist positions and the leadership of heroic martyrs in confronting global arrogance and supporting the oppressed Palestinian people, urging everyone to continue steadfastness, remain prepared for any confrontation with enemies, and to care for and check on the families of martyrs.
