Hodeidah: A delegation from the UN mission based in Hodeidah inspected the ports of Salif and Ras Issa to assess the extent of the damage caused by the airstrikes launched by the US-led aggression.
According to Yemen News Agency, the delegation was headed by Mr. Mohammed Rafiqul Islam and included UN experts Mohammed Zeini Bin Othman, Augustine Kwesi Asibor, and Richard Sekitelko. The Yemeni side was led by Field Liaison Officer Colonel Ali Al-Matari.
The inspection aimed to evaluate the infrastructure damage and potential humanitarian impact on the region. The ports of Salif and Ras Issa are crucial for the import of goods and aid, making their operational status vital for the local population's welfare.
The findings from this inspection are expected to inform future UN recommendations and actions regarding the rebuilding and support efforts in the affected areas.
