Sana'a: The Union of Popular Forces has called upon its members, supporters, and the wider Yemeni community to mobilize and actively participate in the Mawlid al-Nabawi celebrations, marking the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad. This event is set to take place tomorrow, the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal 1448 AH, at the central square in the capital Sana'a as well as in squares across various governorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Union emphasized that a large turnout at these events would reflect the community's faith-based identity and strong connection to the Prophet. The Union's statement highlighted that this participation is a testament to their loyalty to the Prophet and adherence to his teachings and values.
The Union also underscored that commemorating Mawlid al-Nabawi sends a powerful message to the adversaries of the Islamic nation, showcasing the unity and steadfast commitment of the Yemeni people to the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This event also symbolizes the ongoing support for the religion and the Prophet since the inception of his mission.
The Union noted that the celebration coincides with Yemen's ongoing struggle for dignity and liberation from the aggression and siege led by the Saudi regime and its allies, which has persisted for 12 years.
The statement urged the community to draw inspiration from the Prophet's life in confronting injustice and tyranny, and to reinforce values such as brotherhood, cooperation, and compassion. It described the occasion as an opportunity to deepen one's sense of responsibility toward personal and communal well-being, as well as a platform to address significant issues like the Palestinian cause.
The Union highlighted Yemen's distinct role in commemorating this religious event and in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people. Additionally, the Supreme Council, the General Secretariat of the Union of Popular Forces, and the "Voice of Shura" platform extended their heartfelt congratulations to key leaders and the people of Yemen and the broader Arab and Islamic nations on this auspicious occasion.
