Sana’a: On this day, February 27, history marks a tragic series of events where dozens of Yemeni citizens were martyred or injured due to war crimes committed by the US-Saudi aggression. The aggression targeted civilian objects across several Yemeni governorates, leading to significant loss of life and property.

According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression’s air force launched a devastating raid on February 27, 2016, on the Khalqa market in the Nihm district of Sana’a governorate, resulting in the deaths and injuries of 60 citizens. Additional raids in the Al-Mujawha and Haran areas caused severe damage to homes and properties. In the Al-Sab’een district, a man and a woman were injured, and various areas were bombarded, leading to extensive damage.

In Amran, the Technical Institute was heavily damaged, and raids in Ibb governorate destroyed a poultry farm. The Sirwah district in Marib governorate was also targeted, severely affecting infrastructure and agricultural lands. The aggressors continued their assault with missiles and artillery shells in Sa’ada governorate, damaging homes and roads.

The coastal area of Mocha in Taiz governorate faced multiple raids, damaging homes, facilities, and fishermen’s boats. Further assaults on Bab Al-Mandeb district led to widespread destruction of property. In Houth district, attacks on a fuel station and poultry farms were reported, while several areas in Hodeida governorate also suffered extensive damage.

The aggression continued unabated into the following years. On February 27, 2017, and subsequent years, similar patterns of airstrikes, artillery shelling, and targeted attacks plagued the Yemeni population. These acts led to numerous casualties, including women and children, and inflicted significant damage on civilian infrastructure, homes, and farms.

The relentless aggression continued into 2023, with spy aircraft launching raids on Hays District in Hodeida Governorate. Mercenaries established fortifications and carried out artillery shelling, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

These incidents highlight the ongoing humanitarian challenges faced by Yemeni civilians due to the continuous aggression by US-Saudi forces, resulting in tragic loss of life and widespread destruction.
