Sana’a: On this day, March 1, numerous citizens have been killed and injured in air and ground raids conducted by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression across various governorates in Yemen.
According to Yemen News Agency, significant incidents have occurred on March 1 across multiple years, starting from 2016. On March 1, 2016, eight citizens were killed and 18 others injured in a raid by the aggression’s aircraft in the Bani Yousef district of Sana’a governorate. Multiple raids targeted vehicles and various locations in the area, causing extensive damage to homes and agricultural lands. Similar attacks occurred in Taiz, Sa’ada, Hajjah, Marib, and Jawf governorates, resulting in further casualties and destruction.
The aggression continued on March 1, 2017, with air raids on Hodeida, Sa’ada, Dhamar, Marib, Jawf, and Taiz governorates, causing injuries and property damage. Again, in 2018, airstrikes in Hodeida and Sa’ada resulted in civilian casualties, including the deaths of five girls, and significant infrastructure damage.
On March 1, 2019, attacks focused on Hodeida, Sa’ada, and Hajjah governorates, leading to civilian injuries and damage to properties. The aggression persisted on March 1, 2020, with air raids and artillery shelling in Marib, Sana’a, Hodeida, and Sa’ada governorates, resulting in casualties and destruction.
In 2021, airstrikes targeted Marib and Hodeida governorates, while in 2022, the aggression’s air force launched multiple raids in Hajjah, Jawf, and Baydha governorates. The continuous attacks resulted in injuries and extensive damage to civilian properties.
On March 1, 2023, artillery shelling by the Saudi army resulted in the deaths of four citizens and injuries to another in Sa’ada governorate, illustrating the ongoing impact of the aggression on Yemeni civilians.
