Sana’a: On February 17, across multiple years, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression has repeatedly targeted various regions in Yemen, leading to widespread destruction and significant loss of life. Airstrikes have devastated homes, infrastructure, and claimed the lives of numerous Yemeni citizens.

According to Yemen News Agency, on February 17, 2016, airstrikes in the Nihm district of Sana’a governorate resulted in the death of 13 citizens and injuries to seven others. Aggression aircraft also targeted regions in Sa’ada, Jawf, Taiz, and Marib governorates, causing further casualties and extensive damage to homes and infrastructure. In subsequent years, similar attacks continued, with significant incidents occurring annually on the same date.

In 2017, airstrikes destroyed the house of Sheikh Muhammad bin Naji Al-Ghader in Sana’a Governorate. Other regions like Najran, Taiz, Hajjah, and Hodeida witnessed raids, resulting in destruction and displacement of local populations. The Saudi army also engaged in missile and artillery shelling, exacerbating the situation for civilians in the affected areas.

The following year, in 2018, aggression aircraft targeted civilian vehicles and paramedics in Sa’ada governorate, killing and injuring 18 citizens. Additional airstrikes in Hajjah and Sana’a governorates resulted in the destruction of communication towers and further civilian casualties. The continued aggression severely impacted the lives and properties of Yemeni citizens.

In 2019, mercenaries and airstrikes continued to inflict damage across Yemen. Civilians were injured in Hodeida governorate, while residential areas in Sa’ada and Sana’a were targeted, leading to significant property damage. The Saudi army’s missile and artillery bombardment further contributed to the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The year 2020 saw one of the most devastating attacks, with 35 martyrs, including 26 children, in Jawf governorate. Airstrikes in other governorates caused extensive damage to homes and farms. The shelling of various districts in Hodeida by mercenaries further compounded the suffering of Yemeni citizens.

On February 17, 2021, the aggression continued with raids in Hodeida and Sa’ada governorates. The establishment of combat fortifications by mercenaries and artillery shelling in Hodeida further intensified the conflict. Attacks in 2022 resulted in injuries to civilians, including children, and extensive bombing in Hajjah and Marib governorates, underscoring the ongoing aggression and its impact on Yemen.
