Sana'a: On this day, July 19, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression focused its airstrikes on residential neighborhoods and public facilities, resulting in dozens of deaths, injuries, and extensive destruction.
According to Yemen News Agency, on July 19, 2015, 13 citizens were killed and more than 20 injured in airstrikes on a residential neighborhood in the city of Yarim in Ibb Governorate. The raids also completely destroyed 11 homes and severely damaged several others.
The report further details that twenty citizens were killed and ten others injured in two airstrikes on civilian homes in the Al-Maqna' area of the Munabbih district in Sa'ada Governorate. Several homes were destroyed, and additional casualties were reported as a result of continued airstrikes in the region.
The aggression's air force carried out multiple raids in various districts, including Sahar, Baqim, Saada city, and Saqayn, while border areas were subjected to missile and artillery shelling. The strikes also targeted the governorates of Taiz, Aden, Abyan, Al-Jawf, and Hajjah, causing further destruction and loss of life.
On subsequent anniversaries of July 19, the pattern of aggression continued. In 2016, coalition airstrikes resulted in civilian casualties in Hodeida and Taiz Governorates. In Saada, Saudi border guards and airstrikes were responsible for additional deaths and injuries.
In 2017, a child was injured by a cluster bomb in Saada, while airstrikes caused property damage in Al-Safra'a and Kitaf Districts. The following year, airstrikes targeted Zabid and Ad-Durayhimi Districts in Hodeida Governorate.
The aggression persisted in 2019, with airstrikes in Sa'ada and Hajjah Governorates, resulting in civilian casualties. In 2020, airstrikes targeted civilian farms in Hajjah, causing significant damage to public and private property.
In 2021, multiple raids in Marib Governorate led to further destruction of civilian property and farms. By 2022, the aftermath of previous aggressions continued to affect civilians, with incidents involving unexploded ordnance leading to injuries in Saada Governorate.
On July 19, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft launched airstrikes in Hodeida, with widespread artillery shelling affecting numerous areas. These continued acts of aggression highlight the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in the region.
