US-Saudi-Emirati Aggression Causes Widespread Devastation on August 18

Sana'a: On this day, August 18, the aircraft of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression targeted historic cities and archaeological sites, populated areas, ports, and grain silos, resulting in casualties and extensive destruction.

According to Yemen News Agency, the events began on August 18, 2015, when 13 citizens were martyred and over 20 injured due to several airstrikes in Amran City. The strikes demolished homes and vehicles in the Faculty of Education area. Further attacks injured ten citizens and damaged homes in the Al-Sahouba area, while the security checkpoint in Shaban was also targeted.

In Hodeidah City, six children and three women were martyred when aggression aircraft bombed the General Authority for the Development of Tihama. The bombing destroyed buildings, residential homes, and port facilities, causing fires that spread across the area. Additional airstrikes in Saada Governorate and Marib Governorate caused further destruction to homes and farms.

On August 18, 2016, airstrikes martyred four citizens and injured three more in Al-Mutammah District. A citizen's home in Baqim District was also targeted, resulting in fatalities and injuries. Additional airstrikes in Saada Governorate and surrounding areas caused significant damage to property.

The aggression continued on August 18, 2017, with airstrikes in Sarwah and Harib Al-Qaramish Districts, damaging homes and farms. Mercenaries targeted educational institutions and homes with artillery in Al-Hazm. Multiple districts in Hajjah and Taiz Governorates also faced airstrikes, resulting in severe property damage.

On August 18, 2018, Saudi missile and artillery shelling caused casualties and property damage in the border district of Shada. Airstrikes in Sana'a Governorate and other areas inflicted further damage. Similar patterns of aggression were noted in Hodeida, with significant damage to infrastructure.

In the following years, the pattern of destruction continued. On August 18, 2019, airstrikes and artillery fire were reported in Saada and Hodeida Governorates, leading to significant infrastructure damage. On August 18, 2020, airstrikes in Razih and Sarwah Districts caused extensive property damage, while missile and artillery shelling targeted populated areas.

On August 18, 2021, aggression from Saudi border guards and airstrikes led to casualties in Saada Governorate. The establishment of combat fortifications and shelling by mercenaries in Hodeida continued to inflict damage on various areas.

The aggression persisted on August 18, 2022, with reconnaissance aircraft launching airstrikes in Hays District. Mercenaries established fortifications and launched artillery shelling across multiple governorates, resulting in injuries to citizens.

The most recent aggression, on August 18, 2023, saw mercenaries shelling areas in Taiz and Hodeida Governorates, establishing combat fortifications and continuing their pattern of destruction across the region.
