US-Saudi-Emirati Aggression Leads to War Crimes in Yemen on July 5

Sana'a: On this day, July 5, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition was responsible for numerous war crimes against the Yemeni people, targeting residential neighborhoods, markets, and critical service facilities across various regions of Yemen. These acts of aggression led to significant loss of life and widespread damage over the years. According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression's air force launched a series of attacks on July 5, 2015, resulting in the deaths of 30 citizens and injuries to others in the Ahem Triangle in Hajjah Governorate. The airstrikes devastated a popular market, several shops, and a gas station. Additional airstrikes in Amran and Sana'a Governorates led to further casualties and extensive damage to homes and farms. In subsequent years, similar attacks persisted. On July 5, 2016, airstrikes and artillery shelling targeted civilian areas in Taiz, Jawf, and Sana'a Governorates, while mercenaries shelled homes and farms. By July 5, 2017, airstrikes in Sana'a and Saada Governorates injured civ ilians and caused significant material damage, including to telecommunications infrastructure. The coalition's aggression continued in the following years. On July 5, 2018, the coalition launched multiple raids in Hajjah Governorate, and by 2019, coalition mercenaries and airstrikes targeted civilians in Hodeida, Saada, and Hajjah Governorates, causing further fatalities and destruction. On July 5, 2020, the coalition's air force intensified attacks with multiple airstrikes across Hajjah and Ma'rib Governorates, damaging public and private properties. By 2021, the aggression led to civilian injuries and severe property damage in Saada, Marib, and Hodeida Governorates, with mercenaries establishing combat fortifications. The aggression persisted into 2022, with mercenaries and reconnaissance aircraft targeting districts in Dhale'a, Hodeida, and Marib Governorates. The coalition's actions led to extensive artillery shelling and missile strikes across several areas, further endangering civilian lives. Most r ecently, on July 5, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft conducted raids in Taiz and Hodeida Governorates, while mercenaries fortified positions and continued artillery attacks, perpetuating the cycle of violence and destruction in Yemen.
