US-Saudi-Emirati Aggression Leaves Trail of Destruction Across Yemen on February 22

Sana’a: On this day, February 22, historical accounts have repeatedly highlighted the impact of air and ground attacks by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression on Yemen. These attacks resulted in the martyrdom and injury of numerous civilians, along with significant damage and destruction to both public and private properties.

According to Yemen News Agency, on February 22, 2016, the aggression’s aircraft launched a raid on a vegetable truck owned by citizen Ali Saleh Al-Salihi in Al-Matmah District, Jawf Governorate, resulting in the martyrdom of three citizens and injuries to several others. Similar devastation occurred in Nihm District, Sana’a Governorate, where an aggression’s aircraft raid on the house of citizen Nasser Al-Naimi resulted in three more martyrdoms. Another incident in Sa’ada Governorate saw a citizen martyred and two others injured when an aggression’s aircraft targeted a house in Al-Buqa’ area of Baqim District. Additionally, raids by an aggression drone in the Wadi Al-Hussein area, Taiz Governorate, injured fishermen and damaged port facilities and boats.

Further strikes across Yemen on this day in 2017 saw six citizens, including three children, killed in the Al-Jabal Al-Ahmar area in Jawf Governorate. The aggression’s air force also launched attacks on Al-Nayel District, Sa’ada Governorate, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to four others. The use of cluster bombs in Sahar District, Sa’ada Governorate, injured seven citizens, mostly children, and the Saudi army launched missile attacks in the Haydan District.

The aggression continued in 2018 with air raids targeting various districts, including Dhaher, Razih, and Shada in Sa’ada Governorate, and multiple districts in Dhamar, Hajjah, and Taiz Governorates. In 2019, air raids targeted Hajjah and Hodeida Governorates, with the aggression’s mercenaries attacking populated areas in Hodeida and Sa’ada, causing significant destruction.

In 2020, air raids and shelling continued to cause destruction in Jawf and Hodeida Governorates. The aggression’s aircraft targeted Al-Ghail and Al-Motoon Districts, while mercenaries bombed Hodeida Governorate with mortars and rockets, damaging properties and further endangering civilian lives.

On February 22, 2021, the aggression’s aircraft launched numerous raids on districts in Marib and Jawf Governorates, while mercenaries in Hodeida Governorate established combat fortifications and bombed various areas, increasing the threat to civilian safety.

In 2022, an airstrike in Abs District, Hajjah Governorate, resulted in the death of a citizen and injuries to ten others, mostly women. Aggression’s aircraft launched multiple raids on districts in Hajjah, Marib, and Jawf Governorates, causing further civilian casualties and property destruction. The Saudi army’s shelling in Sa’ada Governorate injured six citizens, and mercenaries in Hodeida Governorate continued their attacks, leading to widespread devastation.
