Saana: On this day, April 11, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression launched airstrikes targeting residential neighborhoods, universities, factories, stadiums, and telecommunications networks, resulting in significant casualties and property damage.
According to Yemen News Agency, the attacks on April 11, 2015, saw eight citizens killed and over 20 injured in the city of Amran due to airstrikes targeting residential neighborhoods. The Al-Yarmouk Sports, Cultural and Social Club in the Capital Secretariat was also hit, injuring 14 citizens and causing substantial damage to facilities and nearby homes.
The aggression aircraft targeted areas near Sana'a International Airport as Russian nationals awaited evacuation. In Al-Jawf Governorate's Al-Matammah District, four citizens, including a pregnant woman, were killed. Airstrikes on markets in Saada and Bani Muadh resulted in four more deaths and additional injuries, along with significant property damage.
Telecommunications in Saqin District were disrupted after five airstrikes, while other areas, including Saada city and Al-Baqa, saw attacks on essential resources. Casualties also occurred in Asilan District, Shabwah Governorate, and the 22 May Stadium in Aden.
In Al-Hudaydah Governorate, airstrikes near the Faculty of Medicine damaged educational infrastructure and targeted food manufacturing warehouses, grain silos, and residential areas, leading to extensive destruction.
The following years saw continued assaults; in 2016, artillery and missile shelling by mercenaries affected various districts, causing further civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. The aggression aircraft continued its campaign in subsequent years, with airstrikes on farms, educational facilities, and residential areas, leading to multiple deaths and injuries, including children.
In 2018, airstrikes in Saada Governorate claimed the lives of four children and injured ten others, while attacks on universities and residential areas led to more fatalities and injuries. Continued shelling and airstrikes in 2019 and 2020 resulted in numerous civilian casualties and significant property damage across multiple governorates.
In 2021, airstrikes and shelling by mercenaries targeted citizens' homes, resulting in injuries to women and children. The aggression aircraft continued its operations with multiple airstrikes in Al-Bayda, Marib, and Al-Hodeida Governorates.
By 2022, the pattern of aggression persisted with airstrikes and shelling targeting residential areas and infrastructure, leading to further civilian harm. The violence continued into 2023, with reported casualties, including African migrants, due to Saudi enemy fire.
These repeated acts of aggression over the years highlight the ongoing humanitarian crisis and the severe impact on citizens in the affected regions.
