Sana'a: On this day, October 2, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression committed war crimes against the Yemeni people by targeting markets, mosques, and homes, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens.
According to Yemen News Agency, on October 2, 2015, 90 citizens were martyred and dozens injured as the aggression's warplanes targeted Al-Maqna' market in Monabbih District, Saada Governorate. Additionally, several citizens were injured and commercial shops destroyed in raids on Sha'ar market in Razeh District.
The aggression's warplanes also destroyed a mosque in the Juma'a bin Fadel area of Saqayn District, causing damage to several nearby homes. Twelve airstrikes were launched on various areas of Shada District, destroying multiple houses.
In another instance, the aggression launched nine raids on the Sam'a area in Arhab District, Sana'a Governorate, targeting Taiz University, Bir Basha neighborhood, Al-Sallal neighborhood, and Al-Dhabab area in Taiz city, which resulted in damage to homes and public and private properties.
The aggressive aircraft targeted Serwah District in Marib Governorate with six raids, affecting homes, the Serwah market, the main road, and other areas with phosphorus bombs.
The following year, on October 2, 2016, five fishermen were martyred and six others injured in an airstrike launched by the aggression on fishing boats in Wahjah area, Al-Mokha District, Taiz Governorate. Further airstrikes were launched on various areas of Al-Mokha District and some coastal areas toward Hodeida Governorate.
The aggression also targeted Al-Sabaha area in Bani Matar District, Sana'a Governorate, causing damage to properties, and launched airstrikes on the Military College and Al-Dailami base in the Capital Secretariat, causing severe damage.
The telecommunications network was destroyed in Razeh and Saqayn Districts due to two airstrikes, and further targeting continued in districts across various governorates, causing significant infrastructural damage.
The aggression continued in subsequent years, with significant loss of life and property reported on the same date in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, with a pattern of targeting civilian areas, markets, and essential infrastructure, leading to widespread destruction and casualties.
On October 2, 2023, the cycle of aggression persisted with airstrikes from spy aircraft on Maqbana District in Taiz Governorate, Al-Jabaliya area in Tuhayta District, and Hays District in Hodeida Governorate, with mercenaries constructing combat fortifications and opening fire on various areas.
