US-Saudi-Emirati Aggression Marks June 11 with Ongoing Attacks on Yemen

Sanaa: On this day, June 11, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition has been noted for committing significant acts of aggression against the Yemeni population, targeting essential infrastructure including homes, water wells, and service facilities. This aggressive activity has been documented annually, highlighting the ongoing crisis faced by the people of Yemen.

According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression began on June 11, 2015, when coalition aircraft carried out airstrikes in the Al-Qadam area of Haidan district, resulting in nine fatalities, including seven women. Further attacks in the Marran area led to the death of an elderly woman and injuries to a citizen. In the same year, multiple areas including Bani Sayyah and various districts in Saada province were subjected to airstrikes, causing both human and infrastructural damage.

The following year, on June 11, 2016, the violence continued with the explosion of a cluster bomb in Taiz province, which was a remnant of previous aggression, leading to one fatality and injuries to five others. The aggression extended to areas in Marib and Hajjah provinces, with airstrikes damaging farms and homes, and artillery shelling intensifying the destruction.

June 11, 2017, saw further escalation with seven airstrikes in Marib province's Sirwah district and additional airstrikes in Taiz and Hajjah provinces. Subsequent years witnessed similar patterns, with 2018 marking the death of four citizens on Kamaran Island due to airstrikes, alongside widespread property damage from artillery shelling in Saada province.

On June 11, 2019, targeted airstrikes by coalition forces resulted in destruction across Saada and Al-Hodeida provinces, while mercenaries launched extensive artillery assaults in Al-Durayhimi district. The trend of violence persisted into 2020, with airstrikes impacting multiple districts in Saada and Marib provinces, and mercenaries continuing to establish combat fortifications and shell civilian areas.

The aggression persisted through 2021, with airstrikes and artillery shelling impacting districts across Saada, Marib, and Al-Hodeida provinces. By June 11, 2022, coalition forces and mercenaries had fortified positions around Marib city and continued artillery and rocket attacks across several provinces, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

Most recently, on June 11, 2023, mercenaries reinforced combat positions in Al-Hodeida province, engaging in artillery shelling and gunfire that further endangered civilian lives and infrastructure. These continued actions underscore the severe and ongoing impact of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression on Yemen's civilian population and infrastructure.
