Sana’a: On this day, February 2, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression carried out air and ground attacks on a number of governorates, resulting in a number of martyrs and wounded and significant destruction of public and private property.

According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression’s aircraft launched devastating raids on February 2, 2016, across multiple districts, leading to the martyrdom of a citizen and injuries to seven others in the Jabal al-Sharq District of Dhamar Governorate. The attacks also caused significant damage to homes and public infrastructure. In Sana’a Governorate’s Nihm District, a child named Shahab al-Hujail was martyred, and nine others were injured when airstrikes targeted the Eyen al-Shah Bridge, leading to its complete destruction along with the dirt road below it.

The attacks did not spare the Bani Shakwan area, where five citizens were martyred as their car was targeted near a school, which also suffered damage. Furthermore, the aggression’s aircraft destroyed the Al-Dahmashi house in Malah and wreaked havoc at the Al-Hanashat checkpoint, causing extensive damage to public roads and citizens’ homes.

In subsequent years, on February 2, 2017, airstrikes in Sana’a, Hodeida, and other regions resulted in the deaths of numerous civilians, including children, and the destruction of significant infrastructure. The aggression continued its assaults in 2018 and beyond, targeting various areas with airstrikes and artillery shelling, killing and injuring civilians, including women and children, and causing widespread destruction of property and infrastructure.

The pattern of aggression remained consistent over the years, with raids and shelling reported in 2019, 2020, and up to 2023. The attacks have had a profound impact on the lives of Yemeni citizens, resulting in loss of life, injuries, and material destruction.

The series of attacks over the years highlight the relentless nature of the aggression faced by Yemeni citizens, with severe humanitarian implications and long-lasting damage to the country’s infrastructure and communities.
