Sana’a: On this day, February 9, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression targeted civilians and civilian objects in a number of governorates, resulting in martyrs, injuries, and massive destruction.
According to Yemen News Agency, on February 9, 2016, four citizens lost their lives in a raid on a truck loaded with wheat in Sa’ada governorate’s Haidan district. Additionally, a Saudi missile attack in the border Baqim district resulted in one death and damage to several homes. Various areas in the Munabih district also suffered missile attacks. The aggression’s aircraft launched multiple raids across Sa’ada, causing considerable damage to homes and farms.
Three citizens were killed in Ibb Governorate’s Al-Sabrah District, while the Naqil Al-Khashabah area faced four raids. In Hodeida Governorate, a fisherman was injured due to bombing by warships near Zuqar Island.
In Marib Governorate, airstrikes targeted several areas, including Mount Haylan, Al-Makhdara, and Wadi Malah. Sana’a governorate saw significant damage from airstrikes on warehouses and agricultural lands. The aggression further targeted communication networks and a private school, resulting in extensive damage.
Taiz Governorate experienced air raids on the Al-Omairi Triangle area and the Republican Palace, leading to damage to nearby homes and buildings. The aggression also attacked veterinary quarantine facilities, causing destruction.
In the following years, from 2017 to 2023, the aggression continued with airstrikes and missile attacks across various governorates, causing casualties, injuries, and significant property damage. Civilians, including children, were affected by remnants of the aggression, and the destruction of infrastructure persisted throughout these years.
The recurring attacks highlight the ongoing conflict and its devastating impact on Yemen’s civilian population and infrastructure, underscoring the urgent need for resolution and peace in the region.
