Sana’a: On this day, February 23, scores of civilians, including African immigrants, were killed or wounded by the fire of the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression in several Yemeni governorates. The attacks have been a continuous source of devastation, resulting in numerous casualties and significant property damage across the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, on February 23, 2016, in Marib Governorate, Ahmed Nasser Hatash and his son Mansour were killed when aggression aircraft targeted their car in the Al-Salam area in Habab, Sirwah District. The aggressors also launched raids on the areas of al-Mushaja and Hilan, targeting the Hijlan Bridge and the home of businessman Naji al-Mallahi al-Zaidi, causing extensive damage.
In Amran Governorate, a citizen was martyred, and an agricultural machine was destroyed by a raid in the al-Batinah area. In Sa’ada Governorate, a child was injured due to a raid in the Razih district, with Saudi missile shelling causing severe damage to farms and property. In Hajjah Governorate, the aggressors targeted multiple districts, including Bakil al-Meir, Hiran, and Haradh.
In 2017, in Taiz Governorate, a citizen was killed, and family members were wounded in the al-Ramah area. Cluster bombs injured three citizens in Sa’ada Governorate, and multiple raids were conducted on various districts, causing widespread harm. Similar aggression continued across other governorates, including Hodeida, Jawf, and Dhamar.
The aggression persisted in 2018, with children being injured and numerous raids targeting various districts in Hajjah and Sa’ada Governorates. Saudi artillery shelling damaged citizen property in the Razih border district. In 2019, women and children were killed or injured in raids on homes in Hajjah Governorate, while mercenaries fired artillery shells in Hodeida Governorate.
In 2020, the aggression aircraft launched multiple raids on Sana’a and Taiz Governorates, damaging infrastructure and property. Mercenaries fired artillery shells in Hodeida Governorate, targeting citizens’ farms. In 2021, spy aircraft conducted raids in Hodeida, while the aggressors’ air force launched attacks on multiple districts in Marib, Al Jawf, and Hajjah Governorates.
On February 23, 2022, Saudi artillery shelling led to the martyrdom of citizens in Munabih and Shada districts in Sa’ada Governorate. The aggression’s mercenaries established fortifications in Hodeida Governorate, launching raids across various districts, causing civilian casualties.
In 2023, the aggression mercenaries in Hodeida Governorate continued to establish combat fortifications and shelled multiple areas, perpetuating the cycle of violence and destruction experienced by Yemeni civilians.
