Sana'a: On this day, August 6, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression led to severe consequences, including numerous deaths, injuries, and significant damage to both public and private properties across several governorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, on August 6, 2015, coalition airstrikes resulted in the deaths of eight citizens and left others injured in the Al-Maysar area of Bakil Al-Mir District in Hajjah Governorate. The Haradh Customs area and several border areas also faced airstrikes, while Saudi artillery targeted Haradh District. Meanwhile, six citizens perished and others sustained injuries in Taiz Governorate due to airstrikes on civilian homes and strategic locations including Jabal Al-Arus and Jabal Sabir.
In Saada Governorate, a child lost their life, another was injured, and multiple homes were destroyed following airstrikes in the Maran area of Haydan District. Additional attacks injured a civilian in Majz District's Dahyan city. The relentless aggression continued as two children were killed and seven civilians injured from shelling in the Dhahir and Shada border districts.
The following year, on August 6, 2016, airstrikes and shelling were rampant in several governorates, including Sana'a and Jawf, where raids and artillery fire caused further distress. The aggression also struck areas in Taiz and Asir, leading to substantial material damage.
The aggression persisted on August 6, 2017, with significant airstrikes in Baqim and Kitaf Districts, causing notable damage. Attacks on the main road in Bab Al-Naqa area in Bajil District nearly closed a crucial link between Hodeida and Sana'a, disrupting daily life.
On August 6, 2018, airstrikes in Hajjah Governorate led to a civilian's death and injuries to four others. Bombings in Sana'a, Hodeida, and Jawf further exacerbated the suffering, while artillery fire in Taiz targeted civilian homes.
The aggression continued relentlessly on August 6, 2019, when a child succumbed to injuries from an attack on the Al Thabit market in Saada Governorate. Airstrikes continued to ravage Sahar District.
In 2020, a Saudi airstrike claimed the lives of 20 civilians and injured seven others, mostly children and women, during a holiday visit in Jawf Governorate. The following year, 2021, saw six civilians injured due to attacks in Saada Governorate, with further air raids in Marib and Hodeida.
On August 6, 2022, a landmine explosion injured two children in Hodeida Governorate, highlighting the lasting impact of the conflict. Airstrikes and shelling continued across various governorates, inflicting more damage.
Most recently, on August 6, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft conducted raids in Hodeida Governorate, as mercenaries fortified positions and launched artillery attacks, continuing the cycle of violence and destruction.
