Sana’a: On this day, February 13, a series of air raids by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition on various governorates resulted in numerous casualties and widespread destruction of public and private properties.

According to Yemen News Agency, on February 13, 2016, air raids in the Nehm district of Sana’a governorate resulted in 20 citizens being killed or injured, alongside the destruction of a supermarket, shops, cars, and damage to residential areas. The air force also conducted several raids on regions including Bani Shakwan, Maswarah, and others, leading to significant damage to agricultural lands.

In subsequent attacks, a citizen’s car was targeted in Jabal Al-Malh, and a mosque along with a home in the Khalqa area was destroyed. Infrastructure such as the Al-Hadha Bridge suffered severe damage. Further airstrikes were reported in Bani Matar, Arhab, and Hamdan districts, inflicting damage on agricultural lands and homes.

In Hajjah governorate, raids led to the death of a citizen and injuries to others in the Bakil Al-Mir district. Similar attacks in Sa’ada governorate resulted in injuries and destruction of properties across several districts, including Baqim, Sahar, and Kitaf. The Saudi army also targeted areas in Munabih with missiles, causing damage to homes and farms.

In Marib, Taiz, Ibb, Jawf, and other governorates, air raids and attacks led to substantial property damage, affecting homes, markets, and infrastructure. The aggression continued in the following years, with significant incidents reported in 2017, including the death of Dr. Malook Mahis’ family in Taiz and further destruction in Hodeida and Sa’ada.

In 2018, air raids resulted in casualties and damage across Hajjah, Taiz, and Sa’ada governorates. In 2019, fishing communities suffered as several fishermen were killed in Hodeida, and residential areas in other regions faced heavy bombardment.

The trend continued in 2020 and 2021, with air raids and shelling causing deaths, injuries, and destruction in multiple districts. In 2022, explosive remnants of war led to casualties in Hodeida, and Saudi artillery caused further injuries in Sa’ada.

These events underscore the ongoing impact of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression on the region, with significant human and material losses recorded each year on this date.
