Sana'a: On this day, May 12, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression committed horrific massacres against the Yemeni people, resulting in the deaths of 159 citizens and the injury of more than 420 others, including women and children.
According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression's air force targeted several neighborhoods in the Nuqum area of the capital, Sana'a, on May 12, 2015, using internationally prohibited weapons. This attack led to the death of 90 citizens and injured 300 others. Significant damage was inflicted on homes and public and private facilities, including the destruction of the blood bank building and various facilities at Al-Thawra General Hospital.
In another tragic incident, forty citizens were killed, and over fifty were injured in airstrikes on the Abs district of Hajjah Governorate. The raids completely destroyed several residential buildings, including the homes of Ali Abdo Al-Sharafi, Mohammed Ali Jaber Al-Mahmari, and Ibrahim Al-Ashwal.
Meanwhile, twenty citizens lost their lives, and more than fifty were injured in airstrikes on a popular market in the historic city of Zabid in Hodeida Governorate. These attacks destroyed the market and several nearby homes. Further casualties occurred when the aggression's air force targeted the historic Cairo Castle in Taiz, resulting in three deaths and seven injuries.
The aggression continued its operations across various governorates, including Amran, where infrastructure was targeted. On May 12, 2016, the aggression's mercenaries shelled Taiz Governorate's Al Omari City and Al Shabaka site. The following year, a civilian was killed by Saudi border guards in Saada Governorate, and extensive property damage was reported in Haydan District due to airstrikes.
In 2018, airstrikes in Hodeida Governorate resulted in four civilian deaths and nine injuries. Attacks continued in Haradh, Midi, and Saada Governorates, with significant damage reported. On May 12, 2019, aggression airstrikes caused injuries and destruction in Saada, Dhale', and Al Hudaydah Governorates.
The aggression persisted in 2020, with child casualties reported in Saada Governorate due to Saudi army shelling. Airstrikes and artillery targeting continued across Bayda, Hajjah, Ma'rib, and Hodeidah Governorates. The following year, the aggression's air force launched 19 raids in Marib Governorate.
On May 12, 2022, the aggression's mercenaries established fortifications and targeted civilian areas across several governorates, including Marib, Saada, and Hajjah. Airstrikes and artillery shelling continued to devastate Yemeni regions.
Most recently, on May 12, 2023, two citizens lost their lives in Al-Hali and Azal Districts, and a citizen was injured in Harib District due to unexploded ordnance. Mercenaries continued to establish combat fortifications and shell various areas, causing further destruction and loss of life.
