Sana'a: On this day, July 8, the aircraft of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression targeted infrastructure, historical sites, and citizens' homes in Yemen, resulting in martyrs, wounded civilians, and massive destruction of public and private property.
According to Yemen News Agency, on July 8, 2015, eight citizens were martyred and ten others injured after hostile warplanes launched several airstrikes on the Black Mountain area in Harf Sufyan District, Amran Governorate. In another tragic incident, seven citizens, including women and children, were martyred, and seven other members of the same family were injured in an airstrike targeting the home of citizen Yahya Ali Al-Ziyadi in the Khaiwan area of Houth District.
Further reports indicate that nine citizens were injured due to airstrikes on Wadi Khamr, while several others were wounded in strikes on the Dhu Anash area in the Houth District. The attacks also destroyed infrastructure and public and private property, causing severe damage to the main road linking Amran and Saada governorates.
In a significant assault, eighty-four officers and soldiers were martyred and hundreds injured after aggression warplanes bombed the 23rd Mechanized Brigade camp in the Al-Abr area of Hadramout Governorate. The aggression warplanes also targeted the historic Marib Dam and the surrounding hills, causing extensive destruction to the dam and its drainage channels.
The aggression continued with airstrikes on multiple locations, including Sana'a International Airport and the Ansar Allah Political Council building in the capital. The aggression warplanes carried out ten airstrikes on the districts of Dar Saad, Khormaksar, and Crater, and further targeted water reservoirs and other strategic locations across various governorates.
Hostile actions persisted with airstrikes and artillery shelling causing casualties and substantial destruction of infrastructure and property. The aggression warplanes notably targeted several districts, causing significant damage to public and private properties and leaving many citizens wounded or martyred over subsequent years.
