US-Saudi-Emirati Airstrikes Cause Casualties and Damage Across Yemen on October 23 Over Several Years


Sana’a: On this day, October 23, over several years, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression warplanes have carried out multiple air raids across several provinces in Yemen, resulting in numerous casualties and substantial material destruction.



According to Yemen News Agency, on October 23, 2015, an airstrike targeted the house of citizen Saghir Masouda in the Al-Kuraid area, Haidan District, Saada Province, resulting in the deaths of eleven citizens, including three children and four women, and injuring two others from the same family. Additionally, an airstrike in the village of Al-Qillah in the Maran area led to one death and two injuries. The aggression’s air force launched further attacks in Saada Province, targeting homes, commercial shops, and fuel stations, causing significant material damage.



Elsewhere, in Hajjah Province’s Hairan District, eight citizens were killed and others injured following ten air raids on a popular market. A truck loaded with wheat in the same district was also targeted, injuring three citizens. Additional airstrikes were conducted on infrastructure, including factories and power stations across multiple districts.



In Sana’a Province, on the same day, airstrikes in the village of Hadhran, Bani Hashish District, led to the deaths of two children and injuries to a woman. The aggression also targeted educational facilities and farmland, resulting in extensive damage.



The aggression continued in the following years. On October 23, 2016, six citizens were martyred due to airstrikes on a farm in Saada Province. The aggression used internationally banned cluster bombs in several attacks, causing widespread devastation to homes and farms across various districts, including Kitaf, Al-Dhaher, and Shada.



On October 23, 2017, airstrikes continued to ravage Saada and other provinces, targeting farms, homes, and public infrastructure. In Hajjah Province, multiple airstrikes were reported, destroying homes and causing further casualties.



The violence persisted on October 23, 2018, with airstrikes injuring two citizens in Hajjah Province. The aggression’s air force targeted key infrastructure and agricultural areas, resulting in significant economic losses for local citizens.



By October 23, 2019, the conflict had intensified, with increased airstrikes and shelling reported across several provinces, including Saada, Hodeida, and Hajjah. These attacks resulted in numerous casualties and further destruction of properties.



On October 23, 2020, the aggression resulted in the deaths of two citizens by Saudi border guard fire in Saada Province. Airstrikes continued to damage public and private properties across Marib, Jawf, and Hodeida provinces.



In 2021, airstrikes targeted Al-Jouba and Serwah districts in Marib Province, causing substantial damage. Attacks in Shabwah, Jawf, and Hodeida provinces continued, with significant casualties reported.



On October 23, 2022, the aggression’s activities included the establishment of combat fortifications and extensive shelling in Taiz and Hodeida provinces, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.



Most recently, on October 23, 2023, continued aggression was reported in Hodeida Province, with spy aircraft launching airstrikes and mercenaries conducting artillery shelling, further impacting the lives of many citizens.
