Sana'a: On this day, December 19, a series of airstrikes launched by US-Saudi-Emirati forces targeted several Yemeni governorates over the years, causing widespread destruction to infrastructure, homes, and properties, resulting in casualties, including women and children. According to Yemen News Agency, on December 19, 2015, three citizens were killed and three others injured in an airstrike in the Maram area of Mayfa'at 'Ans District, Dhamar Governorate. The attack destroyed a home and caused damage to neighboring houses. Multiple airstrikes were reported in Haradh District, Hajjah Governorate, and various locations in Hodeida, Lahj, Saada, Taiz, and Sana'a governorates, severely impacting agricultural lands and residential areas. On December 19, 2016, airstrikes in Saada Governorate killed five girls and two women, injuring two others. The strikes also caused extensive property damage in multiple districts. Additional attacks were reported in Sana'a and Hodeida governorates, damaging homes and public pro perties. The following year, on December 19, 2017, 15 people, including women and children, were killed in Shabwah Governorate. Airstrikes and artillery shelling across various governorates, including Taiz, Al-Bayda, and Ma'rib, resulted in significant casualties and property damage. In 2018, further airstrikes targeted locations in Sana'a, Saada, and Hodeida governorates, causing property damage and civilian casualties. Mercenaries intensified attacks in Hodeida, using artillery and machine guns against civilian areas. On December 19, 2019, a boy was injured due to mortar shelling in Hodeida, with artillery attacks reported in multiple districts. The Saudi military targeted populated villages in Saada Governorate with missile and artillery shelling. By December 19, 2020, airstrikes continued in Hajjah and Ma'rib governorates, with the Saudi army conducting missile attacks in Saada. Mercenaries established fortifications and shelled areas in Hodeida with missiles and artillery. In 2021, a civilian was ki lled by Saudi army fire in Saada. Airstrikes targeted Jabal al-Maj'ashah in Taiz and residential neighborhoods in Sana'a. Mercenaries fortified positions in Hodeida, conducting artillery and gunfire attacks. On December 19, 2022, reconnaissance aircraft conducted strikes in Hodeida, with mercenaries establishing combat positions and shelling multiple areas. Most recently, on December 19, 2023, a drone strike by mercenaries in Wadi 'Abidah, Ma'rib Governorate, resulted in one death and several injuries, continuing the cycle of violence and destruction in the region.
