US-Saudi-Emirati Airstrikes Mark Tragic Anniversary of Conflict

Sana'a: On this day, September 1, the aircraft of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression launched airstrikes across several governorates, leading to casualties, injuries, and significant destruction of infrastructure and citizens' property.

According to Yemen News Agency, the events of September 1 over the years have seen widespread devastation. In 2015, airstrikes targeted the wireless communications network and transmitters at Al-Jabal Al-Aswad and attacked Harf Sufyan District in Amran Governorate. The aggression continued with multiple airstrikes in Kataf, Al-Dhahir, and Marib, resulting in the deaths of seven people, injuries to 25, and destruction of military assets.

The aggression's aircraft also targeted Taiz Governorate, striking Al-Saqr Sports Club and various residential areas, causing extensive damage. In 2016, an airstrike in Al-Khuriya village, Hajjah Governorate, resulted in the death of nine citizens. Additional strikes in Sana'a and Hodeida caused fires and severe damage to public and private property.

In subsequent years, the aggression continued with airstrikes causing injuries, destroying homes, and targeting agricultural lands. Notably, in 2019, 185 prisoners were killed or wounded in Dhamar Governorate due to the aggression's aircraft targeting a prison.

The continued airstrikes and artillery shelling across various governorates, including Marib, Saada, and Hodeida, have led to ongoing destruction and loss of life. The conflict has consistently led to severe humanitarian consequences, with significant damage to infrastructure and agriculture, further exacerbating the plight of the Yemeni people.
