Sana'a: On this day, November 26, numerous Yemeni citizens were killed or injured in attacks attributed to US-Saudi-Emirati forces across several provinces.
According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression began on November 26, 2015, when airstrikes resulted in the deaths of five citizens and injuries to two more in the Bani Shabeeb area of Habeesh District, Ibb Province. A cluster bomb explosion in Razeh District, Saada Province, also claimed a life, while airstrikes wreaked havoc in Baqim District. The Bani Matar District of Sana'a Province suffered significant damage from airstrikes targeting homes, farmlands, and pastures.
In 2016, the airstrikes continued, claiming the lives of 12 citizens, predominantly women and children, in Al-Marawa'ah District, Hodeidah Province. More casualties and infrastructural damage were reported in other parts of Hodeidah, including airstrikes on telecommunications towers.
The violence persisted over the years, with notable incidents such as the injury of a journalist in Taiz in 2016, extensive damage from airstrikes in Sana'a and Saada provinces, and numerous attacks on civilian infrastructure, including roads and telecommunications stations.
The pattern of aggression continued in 2017, with airstrikes resulting in injuries and damage across provinces like Saada, Hajjah, and Taiz. The following years saw repeated airstrikes and shelling, causing both civilian casualties and destruction of property, particularly in Hodeida, Marib, and other regions.
By 2020, the persistent airstrikes and artillery shelling continued to devastate various provinces, with significant damage reported in Saada and Marib provinces. In 2021, military fortifications by mercenaries and continued airstrikes further exacerbated the situation, affecting provinces such as Amran and Al-Jawf.
The aggression extended into 2022, with mercenaries shelling various areas in Hodeida Province, continuing the cycle of violence and destruction that has marked November 26 over several years.
