West ibb: The West Ibb Prosecution Office approved the release of 30 inmates from the province's temporary correctional facility on the occasion of the Prophet Mohammed's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, West Ibb Deputy Prosecutor Judge Bashir Noman stated that the decision followed a thorough review of the inmates' files to ensure that those eligible met the conditions for the pardon based on their remaining sentences. He further noted that the prosecution is actively reviewing other inmates' cases to expedite procedures and resolve their legal status.
The decision was announced during a joint field visit by the prosecution and the provincial Grievances Redress Authority branch to the facility. The visit was attended by branch director Yahya Al-Qasimi and Nizar Amer, the branch's director of prison and inmate affairs. Amer remarked that the visit was part of a series of humanitarian and social activities to mark the Prophet's birthday, with similar efforts planned for various prisons and detention centers across the province.
