Dhale': The Women's Committee in Dhale' governorate organized a speech event on Monday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Zaid, peace be upon him.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Women's Committee official Salwa al-Saqqaf and Asma Girls' School principal Shadia al-Raqimi. The speeches highlighted the revolutionary and jihadist legacy of Imam Zaid, describing his uprising as a continuation of the revolution of his grandfather Imam Hussein and an extension of the divine mission carried by the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
Speakers underscored the relevance of Imam Zaid's revolution in today's context, drawing parallels with the ongoing struggle against American-Zionist aggression, particularly in the Gaza Strip. They noted that his stance remains a timeless symbol of resistance against oppression and injustice.
The event stressed the importance of commemorating the martyrdom to draw lessons of faith, courage, and sacrifice. It also aimed to revive the values and principles for which Imam Zaid stood, especially as this year's anniversary coincides with the continued aggression against Gaza.
