Taiz: The Women's Committee in Taiz Governorate organized a protest rally on Friday condemning repeated American-Zionist insults to the Holy Qur'an. Participants raised copies of the Holy Qur'an, expressing their faith-based stance in supporting the Book of Allah and defending sacred values, while chanting slogans that reflected their anger and outrage over the crime of desecrating the Qur'an.
According to Yemen News Agency, the participants described the insults to the Book of Allah as a direct assault on the sanctities of the Islamic nation, its religious and human values, as well as an attack on its identity and core principles. The participants explained that the repeated abuse of the Holy Qur'an reveals the nature of the American-Zionist project, which is rooted in hatred and hostility, exploiting religious sanctities as tools of provocation and incitement under misleading and deceptive pretexts that have no connection to human values.
The rally's statement affirmed that taking part in protest rallies reflects the awareness of Yemeni women of their role and responsibility in confronting campaigns of cultural and religious targeting, as well as their active contribution to consolidating faith-based identity and protecting society from attempts at distortion and deviation. The statement noted that Yemeni women are present in the arenas of principled stance and awareness, alongside their humanitarian and professional roles, and will not remain silent in the face of any insult to the Holy Qur'an or any affront to the dignity and sanctities of the nation.
It added that the Holy Qur'an will remain preserved by Allah's protection and that campaigns of insult will only increase the nation's adherence to its Book and steadfastness on its path, while at the same time exposing the moral and human bankruptcy of those behind them. The statement called on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to shoulder their responsibilities in stopping attacks on sacred symbols, respecting religions and beliefs, and safeguarding the feelings of Muslims around the world.
The rally's statement renewed the pledge to continue steadfastness, to organize activities in support of the Holy Qur'an and Palestine, enhance societal awareness, and remain committed to the path of dignity and honor in confronting American-Zionist targeting projects.
