Mahweet: The Women's Authority in the al-Rujm district of Mahweet province organized a protest on Friday to denounce repeated U.S. and Zionist insults to the Qur'an.
According to Yemen News Agency, speakers at the protest described these attacks as part of a comprehensive U.S.-British-Zionist campaign targeting Islam, Muslims, and their holy sites, aiming to undermine the religious and cultural identity of the Muslim nation.
The speakers called the insults a blatant violation of Muslims' feelings worldwide and criticized international silence for encouraging their continuation.
The statements highlighted that these attacks coincide with ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and threats to Yemen, all backed by U.S. and British support amid Arab inaction and global silence.
The protest emphasized Yemenis' firm religious and national stance in defending the Qur'an and Islamic sanctities and promoting awareness of the Qur'an as a source of strength, dignity, and guidance.
Participants reaffirmed support for the Palestinian people and their resistance, urged communities to unite in protecting the Qur'an, and celebrated Yemen's historic role in defending religion, land, and identity, portraying the protest as an expression of popular consciousness and commitment.
