Women’s Sector in Sana’a Launches Ashura Activities to Honor Imam Hussein

Sana'a: The Women's Sector in Sana'a organized an expanded women's meeting on Sunday to initiate Ashura activities, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, for the year 1447 A.H. The events are set to take place across all districts and neighborhoods under the slogan "Heehat minna al-Dhulhah."

According to Yemen News Agency, General Mobilization Officer Ibtisam Al-Mahtouri highlighted the significance of observing this anniversary. She emphasized drawing lessons from Imam Hussein's courage and generosity and encouraged adopting his approach of sacrifice to counter contemporary tyrants effectively.

Al-Mahtouri also addressed the injustices perpetrated by the Zionist entity and Western nations, namely the US and Britain, against Palestinians. She urged the community to stand resolutely against these injustices and support Palestinians through all available means.

Additionally, Hanan Al-Azzi, head of the cultural unit, outlined the guidelines for commemorating this significant anniversary for the Islamic nation. She noted the disastrous consequences of neglecting Imam Hussein's legacy and stressed the ongoing need for a Hussaini stance to combat injustice and tyranny, calling for collective adoption of this courageous stance.
