Workshop in Sana’a Reviews, Approves Hybrid System Regulations for Medicine and Surgery Programs in Yemen

Sana'a: A scientific workshop held in Sana'a today reviewed and approved the final draft regulations for the Medicine and Surgery Program in Yemeni universities, based on the "Hybrid Integrated System."

According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and brought together deans of medical faculties, registrars, experts, and stakeholders from public and private universities. The aim was to enrich the draft regulations through discussion and input, ahead of official endorsement. Officials highlighted the system's role in integrating basic and clinical sciences from early academic stages while incorporating modern educational technologies.

Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, Undersecretary of the Higher Education Sector, emphasized the system's innovation and the need for collaborative input from university representatives.

Technical aspects of the program were presented by members of the Program Unification and Medicine Committees, who underscored its benefits in aligning academic learning with clinical practice and improving assessment methods. The final version of the regulations will be submitted to the Ministry for formal adoption.
