Workshop Promotes Legal Awareness in Sana’a

Sana'a: The Legal Sector of the Capital Sana'a, in cooperation with the Development Research and Training Department, organized a workshop aimed at promoting legal awareness among local authority leaders, executive offices, and their legal cadres. This initiative is focused on enhancing compliance with laws and fostering institutional work, integrity, and transparency to improve administrative performance.

According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop covered essential topics such as the rule of law, the distinction between mandatory and supplementary rules, legal hierarchy, administrative and disciplinary responsibilities, and common violations. Dr. Maryam al-Jawfi, a member of the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission, highlighted the critical role of legal awareness in preventing violations and safeguarding public funds.

Hamoud al-Naqeeb, head of the Social Affairs Committee at the Capital Sana'a's local level, emphasized the importance for leaders to apply the workshop's themes to effectively implement the law in service of citizens. Additionally, Legal Sector Deputy Director Fatiha Abdulwasie noted that the workshop is part of the Capital's broader efforts to develop administrative performance grounded in sound legal principles.
