Accra:The Yemen Scholars Association has issued a statement condemning Saudi Arabia for its actions in Yemen, accusing it of targeting populated villages and cities, leading to civilian casualties far from the front lines.
According to Yemen News Agency, the association labeled these actions as crimes, criticizing Saudi Arabia’s disregard for Yemeni lives. It called on all Yemenis to mobilize and seek retribution, urging religious figures, including scholars and preachers, to rally against Saudi forces. The association also urged those who support or justify Saudi actions to reconsider their stance and heed divine warnings.
The statement praised the support of principled scholars and independent voices, particularly highlighting Libya’s Grand Mufti for defending the truth. It warned that Saudi escalation and the resulting massacres could provoke divine wrath and lead to eventual downfall.
In conclusion, the association stated that the ongoing escalation justifies Yemen’s armed forces in responding, deterring, and retaliating as necessary, referencing the Holy Quran to support this position.
