Yemen Trade Unions Applaud Genoa Port Workers for Blocking Saudi Arms Ship

General

Yemen: The Yemen General Federation of Trade Unions praised the workers of the Port of Genoa, Italy, for preventing the Saudi vessel Bahri Yanbu, loaded with weapons destined for Israel, from passing through.

According to Yemen News Agency, the federation lauded the firm, courageous, and humanitarian stance taken by the Genoa port workers in intercepting and blocking the Saudi-flagged Bahri Yanbu. The action by Genoa port workers reflects their rejection of the genocide in Gaza and their call for an immediate halt to the supply of weapons to the Zionist entity.

The federation stressed that this move exposes the extent of involvement by some Arab regimes in supporting the Zionist war machine and its genocide against the Palestinian people. It also commended the Genoa workers for preventing the Saudi ship, arriving from Baltimore, USA, from loading additional military equipment from the Italian company Leonardo intended for delivery to the Zionist entity.

The federation called on workers around the world to emulate the principled and humanitarian stance of Genoa port workers and to reject all forms of genocide, starvation, and displacement practiced against the Palestinians.
