Yemeni Business Club & Investment Commission Organize Seminar on New Investment Law

Sana’a: The Yemeni Business Club, in cooperation with the General Investment Authority (GIA), organized a seminar on the new investment law in Sana’a. At the opening of the seminar, Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment Engineer Moeen Al-Mahakri emphasized the investment law’s role in enhancing the relationship between the state and investors while supporting the private sector as a key partner in development.

According to Yemen News Agency, Minister Al-Mahakri highlighted the law’s flexibility in adapting to economic changes. He stressed the ministry’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with the private sector and preserving national capital. He acknowledged the revolutionary and political leadership’s support for the government’s efforts to facilitate the law’s issuance, which offers significant incentives and facilities for the private sector and investors.

The minister also reviewed the Government of Change and Construction’s economic stimulus program, detailing initiatives to improve the economic environment, stimulate local capacities, and address investment challenges. He noted that all government ministries and sectors are working collaboratively to achieve economic goals and implement planned programs.

Chairman of the General Investment Authority Yasser Al-Mansour underscored the significance of private sector partnerships. He elaborated on the benefits of the new investment law and the protections it affords to national capital.
