Sanaa: The Yemeni Customs Authority has declared the enforcement of a permanent ban on products originating from the United States, effective from August 19, 2025. This directive follows a meeting of the Central Committee for Boycotting American and Israeli Products held on July 15, 2025. The Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment has stipulated that American goods currently at customs ports will be permitted entry only until August 18, 2025, as a temporary measure.
According to Yemen News Agency, this action sets the stage for the execution of the Prime Minister's Decision No. (10) of 1446 AH. The decision calls for a complete and permanent prohibition on the entry of American and Israeli goods, with any such items arriving post-deadline to be subject to re-export procedures without exception.
The Customs Authority has instructed all ports, border crossings, and customs centers to rigorously adhere to this directive. Coordination with pertinent authorities is required to ensure the effective implementation of the boycott decision, reinforcing Yemen's stance on the matter.
