Sana'a: The "Yemeni Fingers" exhibition, marking its second edition, has been inaugurated in the Al-Haymah Al-Dakhiliyah district of Sana'a Governorate. Organized by the Women's Development Office in cooperation with the district's local authority, the exhibition focuses on showcasing handicrafts, sewing, and accessories.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was highlighted by the participation of District Director Kamal Al-Askari, who emphasized the significance of empowering women professionally. He noted that such initiatives help transform families from being mere consumers into productive contributors to the local market.
Wafa Al-Shuhooli, Director of the Women's Development Office, highlighted that the exhibition features the products of six training courses. These courses were specifically designed for 17 families, targeting martyrs' widows and daughters, equipping them with skills in sewing, embroidery, perfume-making, and other handicrafts.
Al-Shuhooli expressed optimism about the potential impact of these courses on local production and the national economy. She called for support from relevant authorities to establish an integrated workshop that would further employ and capitalize on these newly acquired skills.
