Sanaa:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen has issued a statement condemning recent actions by the Saudi regime in the Red Sea, following an incident involving Yemeni fishermen and a subsequent attack on a yacht near Zuqar Island.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry highlighted that the Saudi regime's aggression resulted in casualties of Indian nationality. The Yemeni Armed Forces reportedly intervened to rescue victims from the targeted yacht.
The Ministry criticized the repeated crimes in the Red Sea as desperate acts by Saudi Arabia, accusing it of attempting to militarize the region. It emphasized that Yemeni Armed Forces pose no threat to international navigation, and the conflict is confined to those who commit aggression against Yemen.
The statement further accused the Saudi regime of seeking to provoke international intervention by escalating tensions at sea, following its failures on the battlefield. The Ministry warned global nations against falling into what it described as a Saudi trap, reiterating that no threat to international navigation from Yemen exists, while holding Saudi Arabia accountable for militarizing the Red Sea.
