Sana’a: Yemeni meteorology authorities have predicted cold weather conditions across several governorates in the coming 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has released a weather bulletin forecasting cold temperatures during the night and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda. The minimum temperatures in these areas are anticipated to range between 4-8 degrees Celsius.
The forecast also suggests that the weather will be relatively cold in the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Lahj, and Hadramout, as well as parts of the desert areas, with minimum temperatures expected to range between 8-15 degrees Celsius.
The bulletin highlighted the lowest temperatures recorded at some meteorological monitoring stations this morning. Dhamar registered a low of 4 degrees Celsius, while Al-Bayda recorded 5.9 degrees, Amran 7.8 degrees, Ibb 8.5 degrees, Sana’a 9 degrees, and Taiz 9.8 degrees.
The center has issued a warning to citizens residing in the mountainous highlands and interior plateaus to be prepared for the cold weather and potential fluctuations in temperatures.
